Reporting to the Senior Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for establishment of preventative and responsive maintenance and development within the township and across the site.
Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- In cooperation with the Supervisor, will be responsible for the day-to-day building maintenance of the township and other areas across site.
- Read and interpret drawings of the township building layout.
- Maintain a professional work ethic through effective, honest communication with supervisors, peers, and operations personnel at all times.
- Plan, schedule, monitor work and complete all tasks.
To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum Craft Certificate in Building construction or Bricklaying and plastering
- Significant experience (3 years) in a similar role in the maintenance, construction, or mining sector.
- Computer literate
- Sound understanding and experience to interpret plans and specifications based on national building standards.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems
- Knowledge of carpentry is added advantage.
- Skill in painting works
- Knowledge of building regulations.
- Valid Zambian driving license
