Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed implementation plans in area of technical responsibility with the support of Project Manager or Specialist
  • Lead the implementation of the Projects including:
  • Support for Community engagement and mobilization
  • Knowledge management on all WASH project related issues
  • Initiate engagements for the program at Districts, Provinces and national level on key issues
  • Ensure WASH District plans are updated and aligned to Universal Service Coverage level
  • Ensure safeguarding training and orientation for all sector partners including community level
  • Participate in the global WASH community of practice
  • Ensure multi-sectoral coordination
  • Participating and supporting WV non-sector activities

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

List academic requirements (if applicable), technical skills, or other knowledge required as a minimum qualification for this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Water Engineering, Public Health, Social Science, Water Resource Management, related field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in WASH implementation;
  • Knowledge and skills in WASH Models such as PHAST, CLTS or Community mobilisation
  • Understanding and use of mWater is an added advantage
