We are seeking a versatile and skilled machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating both manual CNC lathes and other machining equipment to fabricate precision parts and components according to specification
Key Responsibilities;
Set up and operate lathes and other machining equipment to produce precision parts
Operate and maintain special machining equipment as needed, such as Shaper,milling machines, grinders and drills
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications
Plan and execute jobs in time as per drawings with dimensional accuracy
Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting parameters for each job
Perform routine maintenance on lathes and other machining equipment
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all time
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
Mill roller grooving and journal machining
Boring of couplings and other rotary equipment parts
Qualifications
Full grade (12) certificate;
Diploma or better in Machining, Mechanical /Electrical engineering or related field
Strong knowledge of manual and CNC lathe operation and machining processes
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (eg, micrometers, calipers).
Basic computer skills
At least 1 year of prior experience in a similar role
