Reporting to the Security Manager, you will be responsible to provide leadership to a dedicated, professional security investigations section and ensure provision of a service capable of protecting company personnel and property.
Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: –
- Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with overarching statutory requirements and adherence to international norms.
- Investigation of incidents and occurrences as directed by Security Manager
- Preparations and presentation of investigations and inquiries
- Investigations of breaches of company procedures and code of conduct
- Preparation and presentation of enquiry files to the Barrick Legal
- Call handling and initial response to reports of breaches of the company procedures or code of conduct
- Attendance to crime scenes relevant to the company’s business in Zambia
- Civil and criminal court attendance in relation to enquiries and investigations undertaken on behalf of the company.
- Investigation of white collar and syndicate crime affecting the company’s operations in Zambia
To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following;
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Degree in Security, social science, related field or equivalent.
- At least 10 years in Law Enforcement with experience in commercial field preferred
- Advanced investigative capabilities to commercial crime
- Able to clearly demonstrate the aptitude to drive a light vehicle and hold a valid Zambian driver’s licence
- Must have excellent written and communication skills in English and show commitment to understand local culture and impart mining operations and technical knowledge to the local mine operations personnel.
- Competent in incident investigations
- Must be computer literate
