Responsibilities
- To undertake the day-to-day activities at the Mkushi Warehouse, as directed by the Supply Chain & Operations Manager and guided by the Crop Scientist (North).
- Stock Receipt, Dispatch and Counting To monitor and record the receipt and dispatch of stock and participate in periodic physical inventory counts thereby contributing to efficient product distribution and accurate stock control processes.
- Facility Administration and Supervision To undertake the administrative requirements of the Mkushi Warehouse and contribute to the efficient and appropriate utilisation of company resources.
- Seasonal / Casual Staff Administration To oversee the seasonal / casual Staff administration by liaising with, monitoring and recording the workload undertaken by casual staff and ensuring casual staff adhere and uphold the YARA working culture and policies.
- Visitor liaison and direct Sales To receive and attend to walk in customer enquiries and queries and efficiently offer approved payment option information whilst maintaining records with zero or justifiable discrepancies.
- Reporting Contribute to the availability of data for periodic records.
Stakeholder Management
- Represent the Supply Chain & Operations and Commercial Department within the designated work location by undertaking ways of working and instructions in a diligent and honest manner.
Competencies and Business Expertise
- Operations & Supply, Product storage and HESQ processes.
- Good understanding of the procedure to pay process and ability to perform reconciliations.
- Computer literacy and competent navigation of Microsoft Office software, email, internet and exposure to and knowledge of SAP an advantage.
- Problem Solving and Interpersonal Skills
- Contribution to solutions for the day-to-day challenges at warehouse level.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, recommend and undertake instructed corrective actions and continuous improvements efforts within own work environment.
- Ability to understand instructions for accurate execution.
- Ability to communicate well and maintain good relationships with staff and customers.
Qualifications And Experience
- Strong administrative skills, accuracy and attention to detail essential
- Secondary School certificate
- 1 to 2 years work experience in a similar role with previous exposure to operations and supply computerised systems required.
