Software Developer – ZRA06 (3 Positions)

Job Description

MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate with users, collect and develop system requirements for business and ICT solutions;
  
• Analyse requirements and create of conceptual designs for systems according to the systems specifications and technology considerations;
  
• Carry out system development and implementation for systems that will assist in achieving a sustainable increase in revenue collection among other requirements;
  
• Test systems, identify bugs, debug and resolve the issues;
  
• Document all systems developed according to system development standards and ensure that the accepted methodology is followed;
  
• Ensure that development systems adhere to policies, procedure and standards;
  
• Ensure that developed systems adhere to high levels of security and system/data integrity;
  
• Collaborate with external vendors and provide technical expertise in the procurement and implementation of outsourced systems;
  
• Document all systems developed according to system development standards and ensure that the accepted methodology is followed;
  
• Strengthen existing systems to enhance efficiency, coordination and complete integration between various ZRA and third party systems;
  
• Ensure that system enhancements are effected as prescribed;
  
• Maintain source code of the developed systems and follow the best practices; and
  
• Research, design and implement innovative solutions that leverage technology to meet the business needs.
  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education Equivalent;
  
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
  
• Working knowledge of Java / C#.NET / Python / R / JSON / MySQL/ .NET; and
  
• Proven experience in Systems development, analysis and designing.
