Position: Service Technician

Department: Technical Sales

Location: Northwest Province

Reporting To: Technical Service and Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install new central lubrication systems in mobile and fixed plant equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair central lubrication systems in mining or heavy industrial equipment.

3. Ensure Operational-Readiness of central lubrication systems at customer sites.

4. Collect output data from the performance of central lubrication systems for analysis.

5. Engage daily with the customer’s end-users and participate in all relevant planning and site meetings to ensure timely resolution of lubrication-related matters.

6. Commit to continuous professional development to enhance skills and team performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

  • Technical certification/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Auto-lubrication & Electrical Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience maintaining lubrication systems in mining or heavy industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting automatic/manual lubrication systems and interpreting technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of mining equipment, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of systems – design in central-lubrication of yellow machines will be an advantage.
  • Ability to market and sell lubrication equipment to onsite customers.
  • Manage equipment inventory at customer sites.
  • Computer literacy in using Microsoft suite of programmes especially Word and Excel.
  • Ability to drive in Open pit mines.
  • Ability to interpret and programme PLC equipment.
