JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for ensuring effective planning and coordination of the physical security of staff and Bank properties/assets. To ensure the security of equipment and personnel of the Bank from fraud, physical assault, industrial espionage, terrorism, robbery, among other threats. To plan, direct and monitor the implementation of security systems for protection of the entire Bank network.
Under the supervision of the Facilities & Premises Management Head, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting criminal information to authorities and updating Bank’s Senior Management.
- Investigating crimes committed against clients.
- Planning personal security.
- Analysing data of internal operations.
- Â Advising about security weakness and procedures as well as both internal and external threats
- To implement and enforce the banks security policy
- To prepare a comprehensive and effective security plan
- To prepare comprehensive security policies and procedures
- To manage the engagement of suitable outsourced Security companies and ensure effective service delivery
- To Supervise all Security Installation projects and relevant contractors
- To ensure adequate security at all bank premises.
- To ensure all security installations including; camera systems, alarm systems and access controls are functional and well maintained alarms are working at all bank premises
- To respond appropriately to security emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and provide effective solutions
- To motivate, coach and train staff in the department are adequately equipped to carry out duties and meet set targets and objectives
- Any other responsibilities as maybe assigned by management
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACT
- External: Vendors, Stakeholders, Zambia Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies
- Internal: All internal Business Units
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 Certificate with Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
- Degree in a relevant field
- Zambia Qualifications Authority (Zaqa) Verification Certificate for Tertiary Qualifications
- At least (10) years’ experience in security management or as Law enforcer with at least five (5) years’ experience in physical security, investigation and/or prosecution
