Overview:
Tadala Multipurpose Association is seeking a dynamic and motivated Intern Sales Representative to join our team for the Aquaponics Initiative Project. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales and marketing while contributing to a sustainable agriculture project that aims to revolutionize the Agricultural Sector.
Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing:
- Actively promote and sell aquaponics systems to households, institutions and community members.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness and generate interest in the aquaponics initiative.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers.
Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing detailed information about the aquaponics systems.
Lead Generation:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by proactively reaching out to individuals, community groups, and local organizations.
- Utilize various channels, including social media, community events, and partnerships, to generate leads.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the project team to understand the technical aspects of aquaponics systems and effectively communicate the benefits to potential customers.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience from sales to installation.
Data Reporting:
- Â Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and leads.
- Prepare monthly reports on sales performance, challenges, and potential areas for improvement.
Training and Development:
- Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Proactively seek opportunities for professional development within the field of sales and marketing.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Current enrollment in a relevant program or recent graduate will be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic about sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.
- Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
