Job Title: Sales Consultant (x2)
Job Purpose:
The Sales Consultant will be expected to achieve and exceed paint sales targets and objectives. Develop and implement customer plans and servicing customers. Implements marketing plans, pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Summary of Key Responsibilities;
- Grow market share in the Northern Region and beyond borders
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by customer: Volume, Value, Margin, Service Level
- Ensure accurate forecasting and information for S&OP (sales and demand planning)
- Develop and manage customer relationships through sales calls, value-added activities and business reviews
- Implement customer plans, unique strategy executions (including sales, brand & channel activations) to deliver market-leading value propositions
- Identify and evaluate competitor strong stores and new business opportunities in line with company strategy, to gain share and grow sales
- Identify and report on market and competitor information and activity through weekly status reports and monthly sales reports (Insights)
- Sell & demonstrate the full range of the products
- Provide product knowledge training to retailers and end-users
- Ensure good corporate governance and adherence to SOP & business rules
- Conduct Trade specifications, colour advice and support where relevant
Required Skills
- Good Selling Skills
- Excellent Negotiating Skills
- Knowledge of the retail coatings industry
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Excellent Paint knowledge and application skills
- Good Communication skills
Qualification and Experience
- Advanced Diploma / Degree in Sales and Marketing or Related Commercial Field
- Must have a minimum of 4 years Sales experience in the Paint Coatings / Retail Paint and Hardware Environment
- Proven geographical knowledge of Zambia
- Must have a clean valid driver’s license
- Must be a member of ZIM
