The key purpose of this role is to be responsible for managing and optimizing the returnable packaging processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with environmental standards. This role is crucial in supporting the company’s sustainability initiatives and operational efficiency.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Management of the CAPEX budget
- Execute injection requirements against given budget
- Manage container requirements and plans for NPD’s
- Liaise with Procurement, Zone and Mubex to ensure continuity of container supply
- Expediting of urgent orders
- Follow up that all inventory is GRN in time (within 48 hours) and that GIT is always clean
- Reconcile actual injected units on monthly basis and submit to Zone
Short Term Container Requirements Planning And Tracking
- Develop and maintain short term container population models for each container group
- Analyze container movements on daily basis and track container metrics
- Monitor and plan movements of empties between plants and DC’s to balance injections, production, inventory targets daily from the short-term horizon
Supplier management
- Fully understand commercial terms of each supplier
- Issue PO’s for each SKU at brewery level
- Follow up with supplier monthly on any account related problems and facilitate speedy reconciliation of accounts.
- Manage container injection call offs against manufacturing campaigns per country
Cost management
- Identify and implement cost avoidance and cost reduction initiatives
KPI’s, Routines & Reports
- Ensures that Daily, Weekly and Monthly Meeting routines are adhered to in line with mandatory LCP & internal guidelines
- Ensures that processes are standardized via SOP’s and work standards are monitored and improved by using Operational Work Diagnoses (OWD’s);
- Track KPI’s on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in line with LCP requirements
- Ensures that appropriate problem-solving tools are applied for out of range KPI’s in line with LCP methodology.
- Publish reports on time as per LCP guidelines and internal processes.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MRP software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Certifications: CILT, APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
