  1. Agreeing and managing budgets.
  2. Creating staff rotas
  3. Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation
  4. Promoting and marketing the business.
  5. Overseeing stock levels and ordering supplies.
  6. Handling customer enquiries and complaints.
  7. Taking reservations and online orders
  8. Greeting and advising customers.
  9. Problem solving
  10. Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports.
  11. Keeping statistical and financial records.
  12. Assessing and improving profitability.
  13. Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives.
  14. Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.

N.B: Working hours are likely to be long and irregular. You may also need to work shifts and to cover other roles from time to time.

some experience in a managerial position in a bar or restaurant is necessary
