Relationship Managers X2 (Lusaka)

Job Summary 

The job holder will be responsible for sourcing, origination, developing, managing, deepening of relationships, and driving revenue growth by onboarding, and retaining customer relationships

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing customers with essential information and advice, enabling them to achieve their business and personal objectives by offering time saving and value-added solutions and service
  • Proactively identify and respond to servicing opportunities for own portfolio of customers, seeking to exceed agreed minimum service standards.
  • Successfully manage the resolution of all non-routine queries and complaints for own portfolio of customers.
  • Liaise with the credit department in relation to own customers lending applications, account monitoring and maintenance, and manage the delivery of the Credit departments lending decisions
  • Enable own customers to produce effective lending applications and seek to improve customer service standards
  • Establish and develop sales opportunities to meet customer needs. introducing and working with relevant specialists as required
  • Optimize portfolio potential by providing support to enable the customers meet their business and personal goals and objectives and introducing appropriate solutions and services to meet their needs.
  • Responsible for meeting challenging sales and lead targets.
  • Building a network of contacts, driving proactive business development within the wider community, and developing new business
  • Primary responsibility for the management of own portfolio of customers ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of service and advice to meet their specified needs
  • Promote alternative delivery channels, sign-posting and other internal products, and services
  • Ensure the branch working environment maintains appropriate standards of appearance and customer experience
  • Support other bank colleagues by building their knowledge and understanding of business customers, products, and services through the delivery of formal and ad-hoc training and coaching
  • Monitor, provide feedback and support the growth of leads supplied by other colleagues
  • Devise attraction and retention strategies surrounding target market
  • Build and maintain close links with other Relationship Managers and other sales staff

Required Competencies/Experience

Critical knowledge qualification:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales/Marketing or related fields with at least five (05) years’ experience in the Banking Industry
  • An MBA or a Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • A full Grade 12 certificate with credits or better in English and Mathematics
  • Must have a clear understanding of current Banking Rules and Regulations
  • Must have a valid Driving License

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Critical Experience:

  • Minimum of five (05) years’ experience in the Banking Sector
  • Hands on experience dealing with corporate clients
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management experience
  • Keen interest in digital financial trends and developments
  • Ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
  • Innovative Analytical and with strong judgement
