Job Summary

To provide specialist advise & support in the maintenance & analysis of banking activities & initiatives in order to provide accurate reports & information to relevant stakeholders, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed SOPs.

The main focus of this role is to build and maintain professional business relationships of high value by driving challenging sales and income targets, proactively acquiring new clients, solutioning existing clients with cross sell, campaign and product utilization and proactively managing and improving customer satisfaction and risk and compliance.

Job Description

Customer (Internal and external) : Stakeholders Pro-Active contact with allocated client bases for the purposes of pro-active administrative and non-advice related sales activities | Fulfilment : Preparation and assistance with required documents for client meetings, analysis and relevant insights that will enable the banker to have the right level of conversations with clients. Ensure quality of account applications on behalf of Private Banker and that all required information is included to avoid re-works. | Risk and Control : Contact clients on behalf of the banker and remediate outstanding securities, FICA and PEP requirements. Ensure compliance to all Policies and Procedures.

Sales and Service

  • Achieve agreed sales targets for Liabilities, Assets and Income.
  • Develop and Implement proactive calling programme (both face –to-face and telephonic) for existing and potential customers.
  • Create a lead base of external target market through networking,

discussions with Commercial advisors in branches and attending relevant social events, Seminars, trade shows and industry events.

  • Spend a minimum of 75% of available time visiting with customers and targets
  • Develop relationship plan for customers including sales and contact strategy
  • Work with specialists like Trade Finance and Treasury to maximize sale of these products to customers
  • Deal with, and find resolutions for, customer complaints.

·       Identify priority customers using the Customer Prioritization Guidelines to assess their present

and potential contribution.

·       Manage and control portfolio within agreed limits

·       Maintain a high standard of operational control including adherence to Risk Management

Risk and Control

  • Determine the products that are most effective in meeting customers’ needs and be able to sell these, at short notice, both reactively and proactively.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to risk service standards.
  • Produce call reports in agreed format for all scheduled significant business meetings.

National Diplomas and Advanced Certificates: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
