Purpose of The Role:
This role exists to ensure that the goods entry processes of the receiving department are carried out in an accurate, efficient and value-added way.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reporting to: Receiving Process Supervisor
  • Interacts with: Goods valuers and checkers, Receiving admin team members, product prep team members, transport team members, Auction and Dispatch teams

Supervisory Controls:
The Position is Supervised through:

  • Daily receiving reports
  • Performance against set standards
  • Client feedback
  • Daily task meeting
  • Monthly performance appraisal
  • Workload management
  • Exceptions

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Meet and greet new clients
  • Offload goods from clients vehicles and lay out lots in an orderly way ready for capturing.
  • Capture photos of all lots to be uploaded to the consignment photo area.
  • Correctly lot goods in the most coast effective and sellable lots.
  • Stick consignment levels in all lots.
  • Accurately capture all lots into the clients consignment, using the pre-defined fields in EMMA as required to best describe the lot.
  • Hand over the consignment to the goods tester if required ( i.e consignment with electrical goods that require testing) or to the goods checkers and valuers otherwise.
  • Once again stick all goods and accessory levels on lots
  • Verify that all lots have been ticketed and where not ticketed, capture missing lots of amend the description accordingly
  • With assistance from the general hands, where required, move all lots to the product preparation area.

Minimum Hiring Standards:
Education

  • Advanced Level certificate or, similar level diploma
  • Or, Qualifications by Experience – minimum of 2 years in a similar role

Experience:

  • Leading teams
  • Dealing with clients
  • and resolving complaints/issues
  • Computer literacy – proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
