Job Description
The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
- Defines a complete communication system/network to meet business requirements in line with MTN group guidelines;
- Defines the criteria to assess network performance from end-user / service perspective & monitors those criteria;
- Identifies and anticipates proactively network performance issues (traffic/quality/resiliency) and provides recommendations for improvement;
- Ensures that design & optimization guaranty the capability for the network to provide end-user new services;
- continuously looks for new business opportunities by proactively engaging sales and marketing teams and provide cost effective technical solutions to seize such opportunities (Geo marketing);
- May be required to support technical cases by participating in emergency and 24/7 rota duty;
- Co-ordinates cross functional teams (Sales, marketing, regulatory etc) to understand business and regulatory needs;
- Transports network CAPEX and OPEX management;
- Devises RAN network spectrum usage strategy by ensuring inly regulatory allocated and approved spectrum is used and keep an up-to-date RAN database ;
- Advise MTN on the required RAN network spectrum.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
- Bachelor of engineering degree in Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields from reputed institution;
- Sound knowledge of Mobile Network Planning, Optimization and O&M;
- Proficiency in use of planning and optimization tools and Knowledge of Open RAN
- 3 years of working on Huawei RAN network ;
- Knowledge in RF Planning and DT tools (ASSET, GENIX, Mapinfo, Actix Analyzer / Nemo Analyzer etc)
