JOB TITLE: Motorbike Rider/Motor Vehicle Driver (ALL IN ONE)
Reports To: Operations Manager / Dispatch Lead
Location: Lusaka West / As assigned
Licence Required: Valid All-In-One (Motorbike + Motor Vehicle) Zambian Driving Licence
JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery of goods, documents, and personnel using both motorbike and motor vehicle as required by company operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Driving & Riding Duties:Operate company motorbike and motor vehicle safely and in compliance with all Zambian road traffic rules and regulationsDeliver parcels, documents, and goods to clients and between branches on timeTransport staff and company materials when requiredChoose the appropriate vehicle (bike or vehicle) based on urgency, distance, and load
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:Conduct daily pre-trip inspection – check oil, water, brakes, tyres, lightsKeep both vehicles clean, presentable, and in good running condition at all timesReport any faults, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately to managementEnsure licence, insurance, road tax and fitness are always valid and available
3. Logistics & Records:Maintain accurate logbook – trips, mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries madeObtain proof of delivery (POD) signature for all deliveriesAccount for fuel, handle petty cash for fuel with receipts and transparencyAssist with loading and offloading of goods and ensure goods are secure
4. Professional Conduct:Observe strict confidentiality of company goods and documentsProvide excellent customer service and represent the company professionallyAdhere to company health and safety policies – must wear helmet and safety gear when ridingPerform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Zambian All-In-One Driving Licence (Motorbike + Motor Vehicle) – MUST
Grade 12 Certificate
Minimum 2 years proven experience as rider/driver
Good knowledge of Lusaka routes and Zambian traffic laws
Clean driving record – no serious traffic offencesPhysically fit, honest, time-conscious, and highly disciplined
