Job Description

PURPOSE

To provided support to ensure the smooth, efficient and continuous running of the Soil Sampling Lab in line with prescribed standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining good housekeeping of the site services laboratory and the surrounding area.
• Conduct screening on daily soil samples from all sites as prescribed by the supervisor
• Collection of laboratory requirements from the warehouse.
• Maintain a healthy relationship with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure that compliance with regulatory requirements is met at all times.
• Carry out sample preparations as per the prescribed Laboratory standards
• General Lab Duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) Certificate
• Laboratory Science Certificate (from recognized institution)

Experience

• Worked in a Soils Laboratory
• Worked in a Mining Environment (Added Advantage)
