We are seeking a NATIONAL SALES MANAGER with a strong background in agronomy and crop protection to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise the Rainbow team of agronomists
* Develop and monitor the Sales budget.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for Rainbow within Zambia.
* Establish product demand forecast to ensure correct products are available at the right time
* Cultivate strong relationships with commercial farmers, distributors and agro dealers, providing them with product knowledge, technical support, and agronomic advice.
* Conduct regular visits to commercial farmers, emergent farmers and agro dealers to understand their needs, address concerns, and promote the Rainbow product portfolio.
* Deliver training sessions and workshops for internal Regional Agronomists, farmers and agro dealers on solutions, products and best agronomic practices.
* Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns tailored to the needs of the company, our customers, agro dealers and their customers.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and expansion.
* Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and customer feedback to the management team.
* Represent Rainbow Agrosciences Zambia at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand brand awareness and network with key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
* 5 years work experience in similar role.
* Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
* Proven experience in agricultural sales, preferably agrochemical.
* Strong understanding of agronomic principles, crop production techniques, and pest management practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within Zambia.
* Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
