1. Metallurgy Accountant x1

Role Overview: Responsible for providing technical and metallurgical support to operations as well as supervision of personnel assigned to the role and technician.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate metallurgical accounting procedures and review metallurgical reports
  • Identify and promote continuous plant improvement in order to achieve and surpass metallurgical KPIs
  • Provide day to day technical metallurgical support and coaching to plant operations
  • Prepare daily shift metallurgical balances, required operational reports and guidelines to operations personnel.
  • Monitor and evaluate metallurgical performance and when required conduct test/survey programmes to improve plant recovery and costs
  • Collaborate effectively with cross shift senior metallurgist to ensure smooth transition between rotations in order to provide continuous operational support.
  • Take, record, and analyze readings of reagent consumptions
  • Implement Lab results to achieve set KPIs

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

  • Grade 12 Full Certificate
  • University degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering from accredited institution
  • Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ
  • All round on the job development in Process plant operations
  • At least 2 years in a similar capacity

2. Mobile Equipment Operator x3

Role Overview: Responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant mobile equipment under their control by written plant procedures and under the direction of the Operations shift Coordinator within the Production department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safety, efficiency and reliability of plant Mobile equipment
  • Properly operate the equipment and associated auxiliary equipment during normal and emergency operation
  • Communicate information clearly, both orally and written
  • Troubleshoot plant equipment to resolve operational problems
  • Respond to verbal and auditory signals from control panel and remote alarms
  • Work without supervision inspection while carrying out duties
  • Implement plant emergency procedures as needed
  • Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

  • Grade 12 Full Certificate
  • Certificate in Heavy duty mobile equipment operation
  • All round on the job development in Process plant mobile equipment operations
  • At least 2 years in a similar capacity

3. Plant Operator x7

Role Overview: Responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant equipment under their control by written plant procedures and under the direction of the Operations shift Coordinator within the Production department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

4. Sampler x1

Role Overview: To receive samples and prepare them for analysis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the samples in readiness for analysis
  • Cleaning and maintaining sample preparation equipment
  • Recording received samples, moisture determined samples and dispatched as well as milled samples then submit for analysis
  • Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results.
  • Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the samples
  • Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
  • Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field.

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

  • Minimum of Grade 12 Full Certificate
  • Diploma/Equivalent in Science laboratory technology.
  • First aid training
  • At least two (2)-years industrial experience

Location; Ndola

5. Production Coordinator x1

Role Overview: Manage and supervise the effective execution of all production activities during respective shift to ensure seamless and efficient operations within the Production department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the execution of production plan and ensure all production equipment are operated in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor control process units at every point in time and ensure raw materials for production are properly crushed to achieve preset quality targets.
  • Coordinate all production staff during respective shift to ensure uninterrupted activities at the plant.
  • Ensure that production targets are achieved during respective shift ­Delegation and monitoring tasks to subordinates
  • ­Training and Educating: When need arises
  • ­Confidentiality:  To secure all production documents and information are kept confidential

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

  • Grade 12 Full Certificate
  • Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Science or Metallurgy
  • Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
  • At least 5 years in a similar capacity
