Nanga Farms Ltd. is a large irrigated Sugarcane Estate situated near Mazabuka in the Southern Province of Zambia. The Company is part of the Illovo Sugar Africa Group and its main activities are the cultivation of 2,860 hectares of Sugarcane and the rearing of 1,400 head of Cattle. The Company now invites applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill the positions of:-
1. Fixed Term – Field Supervisor / CAPITAO (x2)
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Farm Manager, the purpose of the job is to manage Irrigation system, checking of moisture contents in the soil, insuring that Irrigation equipment’s are working according and supervising employees.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Full grade twelve certificates (Credit or better in Math’s, Sciences, English and any other 2 subjects).
- Diploma in Agriculture.
- Experience will be an added advantage.
- Interpersonal and technical skills, personal organization as well as high integrity are required.
2. Off Crop Auto Mechanics (x2)
Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, the purpose of the job is to carry out all Automotive and Farm equipment during off Crop period.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Full grade twelve certificates
- Craft Certificate in Auto Mechanics
- Experience will be an added advantage.
3. Seasonal Welders (x3)
Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, the purpose of the job is to carry out all Welding and Fabrication works during off Crop Maintenance period.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Full grade twelve certificates
- Trade Test in Welding and Fabrications.
- Experience will be an added advantage.
