Multiple Positions – Industrial Training Centre (ITC)

Industrial Training Centre (ITC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in vacant positions under its establishment as indicated below:-

1. HEAD OF SECTION ENGINEERING/ICT(x1)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
• Diploma/Degree in any of the following Engineering fields:- Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical/ICT
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
• Diploma/Certificate in Teaching Methodology, and accreditation to TEVETA an added advantage
• Membership with Engineering Institute of Zambia a must
• Computer knowledge and application a must

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar field

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for organization of the Engineering/ICT department by providing timetables to Lecturers and ensures that the same is adhered to
• Management of resources for the department to ensure optimum usage of the same
• Ensures lecturers follow the approved syallabi
• Lecturing and giving assignments and tutorials to students
• Competence in guiding all practical works
• Carry out Consultancy Services/Research to generate income for the Centre

2. HEAD OF SECTION TRANSPORT(x1)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
• Diploma in Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) or its equivalent
• Automotive Mechanics qualifications an added advantage
• Diploma/Certificate in Teaching Methodology, and accreditation to TEVETA an added advantage
• Membership with Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport a must
• Computer knowledge, and Driving License application a must

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar field

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for organization of the Transport Section by providing timetables to Lecturers/Driver Instructors and ensures that the same is adhered to
• Management of resources for the department to ensure optimum usage of the same
• Ensures lecturers/Driver Instructors follow the approved syallabi of TEVETA/RTSA respectively
• Lecturing and giving assignments and tutorials to students
• Competence in guiding all practical works
• Carry out Consultancy Services/Research in Transport related courses to generate income for the Centre

3. ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (x1)

• Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
• Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent
• Membership to ZICA (C.A. Application Level or better Advisory level) a must
• Computer knowledge in accounting packages such as Evolution/pastel a must

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide efficient and accurate financial and management accounting service in order to ensure timely processing and handling of business transactions assisting the accountant.
• Preparing staff salaries, making recoveries of staff loans and other statutory payments
• Preparing Monthly Management Accounts
• Reconciliation of stores issues, General Ledger and Student, Suppliers Ledgers and Statements
• Passing Journal Entries, submitting to the Accountant for checking and posting of such.
• Debt collection for both students and company debtors
