Africa’s leading facilities services provider is looking for dynamic and self-motivated individuals with proven performance to fill Vacant Positions under the Kalumbila Project:

1. MATERIALS CONTROLLER (x1)

PURPOSE: You will report directly to the Warehouse Manager/Project Manager who is the Head of the Materials Department. You will be in charge of controlling of ATS stocks with the project as well as undertaking procurement activities

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

  • Full grade 12 Certificate or any equivalent with credits or better.
  • Must have a minimum of Diploma in stores management/procurement with some practical experience working in materials/stock control or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered
  • Must have at least three (3) years relevant experience in the field.
  • Should have strong ICT skills

Skills

  • Must have initiative and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Should be able to interact with personnel from other departments and the clients.
  • Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations.
  • Must have Good written and oral communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to listen and learn the skills required in performing bar service duties.
  • Good report writing and oral presentation.

Responsibilities

The specific duties of the Materials Controller will be as set out below but not limited to:

  • Be responsible for the implementation of the materials handling procedures within the company. This includes Mats 1 -10.
  • Train and be responsible for Controlling all operations of the supply chain
  • Train and be directly responsible and accountable for all sourcing and supply of materials.
  • Ensure all costs – food/cleaning & service budgets & targets are maintained within the acceptable range within the project
  • You will coordinate the movement of goods from the supplier until they arrive at the intended destination within ATS operations.
  • You will ensure proper storage of goods supplied. This must meet ATS and client Health and Safety requirements.
  • You will maintain a work-in-process inventory. All work-in-process should be traceable. Recall procedures for sub-standard goods must be established and enforced.
  • Training – you will be responsible for establishing and implementing a training program for your subordinates. Records of training must be kept and will be inspected by the HR Manager/Country Manager periodically.
2. COOK (x1)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum qualification of at least grade 12-, and 2-years’ experience in the catering industry,
  • Must have a minimum of College Diploma or Higher Certificate in food production
  • Creative, self-motivated, proactive and confident
  • Creative with ideas of both International and local meal preparation
  • Able to work with other staff from other Departments, as well as the clients
  • some experience in a catering or mining environment
  • Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Independent worker with little need for supervision
3. KITCHEN ASSISTANT (x3)
Requirements            
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Able to show initiative and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
  • Able to interact with personnel from other Departments.
  • Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations.
  • Must have Good written and oral communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to listen and learn the skills required in carrying out a kitchen assistant/kitchen cleaner. 

Responsibilities    

You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in and around the kitchen as well as ensuring that good hygiene conditions are maintained at all times as per the company standards. 

Duties

The specific duties of the kitchen assistant/kitchen cleaner will be as set out below but not limited to:

  • Cleaning all kitchen equipment and ensuring that it is sanitised before use.
  • Cleaning all utensils, cutlery and crockery in the kitchens.
  • Assist the cooks in preparing meals and cooking meals for the clients.
  • Scrub/mop all floors in the kitchen daily.
  • Clean all the walls and ceilings as per the cleaning schedules.
  • Prepare raw vegetables – peel and clean potatoes, carrots etc
  • Clean the ceiling fans and/or air-conditioning units.
  • Clean the extractor hood and the grease filters
  • Clean and empty the grease trap and rice filters daily
  • Clean and sanitise all food contact and hand contact surfaces
  • Report any breakage or maintenance requirements to your supervisors.
  • Ensure that all lights in the kitchen are working
  • Clean the freezers and chillers daily
  • Clean the cooking range after each use or as per the cleaning schedules
  • Remove to the skip/garbage collection area all garbage in the kitchen.
  • You will work safely and ensure the safety of others by wearing your PPE at all times and adhering to all site safety regulations.
  • Perform any alternate duties that may be prescribed by management.
