1. EHS MANAGER– HUNTLEY AND KALUNDU DAIRY (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Designing, developing and implementing measures to promote health and safety in the work environment and making sure that the company’s business operations meet statutory requirements and Good International Industry Practice (GIIP).
  • Maintaining minimum standards of health and safety at the premises in order to ensure that minimum standards of safety as identified by the employer and regulators are complied with.
  • Liaising with statutory Inspectors and other enforcement officials as required.
  • Preparing Health and Safety related permit applications in time.
    Managing policy and procedures relating to Health and safety in the work environment.
  • Participating in the ongoing development requirements of the company’s Health and Safety management program and compliance, including risk assessments and carrying out internal audits
  • Ensuring that all registers and records and documentation relating to the role are properly maintained.
  • Coordinating and assisting with technical training and overall competency to management and employees with regards to the operational aspects of the Health and Safety program, operational methods and personnel practices, and maintenance for Health and Safety statutory compliance.

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Grade Twelve Certificate
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years hands on occupational health and safety experience

The Required Attributes Include:

  • High level of business acumen, evidenced street smartness.
  • Working knowledge of environmental trends.
  • Good judgement and good decision-making ability
  • Committed team player with ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization
  • Developed written and oral communication skills

4. LOGISTICS MANAGER – ZAMHATCH FEEDMILL MPONGWE X (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • The Job holder is accountable to the Operations Manager, for the efficient planning, coordinating and
  • Management of the Novatek truck and vehicle fleet hence carrying out the following:
  • Daily authorization of fuel/ lubricants requisition forms for individual trucks. Preparing daily, Weekly and monthly fuel recons to ensure no losses are recorded through theft or spillages.
  •  Monitoring all movement of Novatek’s fleet (trucks ant vehicles) through the aid of satellite navigation, ensuring trucks stay on root, don’t stop for any unnecessary delays, stick to speed limits and don’t undertake illegal transporting.
  • Taking full responsibility of the Novatek’s fleet and ensuring that it is running in the most efficient and effective manner, ensuring that feed is delivered on time and to the correct location in accordance with the consumer specifications.
  • Keeping an up-to-date plan and record of the maintenance requirements of the fleet and ensuring that drivers are well instructed and carry out the required activities as according to the maintenance plan. Follow-ups will have to be done on a random basis.
  • Organising the external maintenance of the fleet, by informing service providers prior to the arrival of the truck/vehicle. Ensuring that minor maintenance is carried out within the day to day operations (on site).
  • Controlling and managing the pool vehicle and the driver responsible, instructing his daily routine.
  • Communicating with external transporters, for the aid of logistics, when Novatek’s fleet is fully utilised, (external transporters management).
  • Ensuring all drivers licences are up-to-date and that all certificates are valid.

The Required Qualifications are: 

  • Full grade 12 certificate with 5 credits.
  • Diploma or Degree in Transport and Logistics.
  • 5 years previous experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well both independently and in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to spot and solve problems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow laid down procedures and manage change.

5. NATIONAL MANAGER RETAILING CASH RECONCILIATION– HEAD OFFICE (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Monitoring all cash collected by CIT Companies from Zambeef Retailing Outlets that it is banked within 12hrs of being collected.
  • Picking up Cash Transfer Notes (CTN) from the CIT Companies on a regular basis.
  • Reconciling all cash collected by CIT Companies when it is banked vs bank statement.
  • Querying the bank if a particular Cash Transfer Note (CTN) is not credited on the Zambeef Retailing bank account.
  • Querying CIT Companies if cash collected for banking is delayed to be banked or not banked at all for whatever the reason.
  • Compiling and reconcile daily sales vs CTN vs bank statement report for all Zambeef Retailing outlets.
  • Facilitating the printing of CTN books for all Zambeef Retailing Outlets.
  • Ensuring distribution of point of sale machines as well as facilitate for replacements.
  • Supervising the daily reconciliation team to ensure accurate data is captured for posting
  • Preparing Monthly reports of all cash collected from all Zambeef Retail Outlets

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Credit 12 Certificate with 5 credits
  • Full ACCA, CIMA, ZICA or Equivalent
  • At least 3 to 5 years in reconciliations
  • 3 years supervisory/management experience.

The Required Attributes Include:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel – modelling experience preferred
  • Good judgement and good decision-making ability.
  • Committed team player with ability to interact with all levels of management in the organisation
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in pressured and deadline –driven operating environment
  • Detail-oriented with the technical aptitude and ability to perform tasks accurately and comprehensively.
  • Expert in multi-tasking, time management and planning of work.
  • Quick learner and works well under pressure
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholder
