1. RECEPTIONIST

Key Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for entering all new patients details into the clinic management system.
  • Assist clients or family members in completing any required information and registration forms.
  • Maintain an efficient and orderly appointments system.
  • Answer any questions the clients may have and if unable to do so refer them to an appropriate staff member.
  • Advise appropriate healthcare professionals of approaching appointments in time and ensure patient’s medical file is available at the appointment time.
  • Receive and make telephone calls as instructed, divert calls promptly or take messages ensuring accuracy of detail and timely delivery to the recipient.
  • Maintains the paper/electronic file that makes up the patient medical record and be fully conversant in the filing system of your work area.
  • Ensure medical records are always kept in good repair with all necessary information on the outside cover clearly visible.
  • Maintaining client’s right to privacy and confidentiality throughout the registration process.
  • Answers all questions the client may have concerning invoice payments.
  • Prepare insurance claim forms and submit in a timely manner.
  • Prepare weekly reports and submit to management.
  • Receive payments from clients and receipt them accordingly.
  • Notifies supervisor or senior management staff when an issue or incident arises with a client or staff member.
  • Receive, assist and direct clients in a courteous, efficient and welcoming manner projecting a positive, friendly and professional image.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Diploma in Business Administration or another relevant field
  • Computer literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Must possess high levels of integrity and professionalism

2. PHARMACIST 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of medications for patients in the pharmacy.
  • Receiving, verifying and filling the patient prescriptions.
  • Completing patient paperwork related to the filling of prescription.
  • Assisting with insurance claims processing.
  • Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory in the system.
  • Ensuring availability of drugs by liaising with pharmaceutical suppliers.
  • Maintaining pharmacy’s safety regulations by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Inventory management in the prescribed manner for expired drugs to dispose of.
  • Ensure adherence to the stipulated laws guiding the Practice of Pharmacy in Zambia.
  • Ensure required licences are always valid.
  • Any other duties as maybe assigned by the Supervisor,

Skills and Qualifications

  • Full Grade 12 certificate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or the equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with databases and medical guidelines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

3. NURSE 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify patient care requirements by establishing a personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons able to understand the required care requirements.
  • Obtain a complete medical history and do an initial assessment on the patients according to guidelines.
  • Ongoing assessment of patients, updating the nursing care plan according to patient’s specific needs and execute medical orders within prescribed guidelines.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensure continuous updated patient care is documented.
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
  • Maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide fundamental clinical nursing care.
  • Provide detailed initial assessment of patient and accurate complete clinical history.
  • Measure and record vital signs and regular observations.
  • Ensure adequate operation of relevant apparatus and equipment in the clinic and complete preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain continuity among nursing teams (day vs. night shifts) by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Accurate administration of patient medication and adequate record keeping.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Ensure ideal temperature is maintained in all clinic areas.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
  • Assist in the preparation and transportation of patients for diagnostic procedures and referrals.
  • Assist with preparation of surgical and other procedures.
  • Carry out diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Maintain code of conduct.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • The job duties are flexible and subject to change dependent upon operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • License to practice and certificate of training.
  • Required Nursing Education
  • Atleast 3 years of professional experience in nursing practice. Demonstrate sufficient recent clinical experience in the last 12 months.
  • Good knowledge of nursing principles and techniques and their relation to medical practice, material medical, sanitation and personal hygiene.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proactivity
  • Honest and reliable: display high level of integrity since he/she may be in a position to take care of patient’s personal belongings.
