Organization Background

Bibagry Limited is a new, non-alcoholic beverage company located in Kitwe with national distribution. Our mission is to offer a dynamic portfolio of beverages that refreshes the nation and inspires moments of optimism and happiness. We are commissioning a Milling Plant at the Main Plant-Kitwe in October 2021.

We are therefore inviting applications to fill the following vacant positions in the Milling Plant-Kitwe.

1. Head Miller (x1)

Position Description

This position reports to the Factory Manager-Milling Plant. Successful candidates will be responsible for production procedures and ensure that there is high quality of the product.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, initiates and puts into operation, plant capital improvements on time and on budget
  • Maximizes plant capacities and yield KPI’s.
  • Identifies reports, and achieves the highest standards in sanitation, safety recognition & practices, quality behaviours and food defence practice
  • Provide technical support on process equipment in order to achieve optimal performance.
  • Maximize the capacity and efficiency of the plant while ensuring product quality.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts required for proper operation including roles.
  • Responsible for coaching and developing staff operation skills
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to health and safety.
  • Investigate incidents (root cause analysis) and develop preventive measures.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the plant for food audits.
  • Maintain sanitation of the plant at a level that meets the requirements of food safety.
  • Trains employees and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Proactively engages in employee development, team building, and the continuous improvement of methods, processes and system.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate with Five credits
  • Strongly prefer degree in a related field of Engineering, Milling Science and or minimum of five years of hands-on production supervisory experience
  • Require excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must have confident and courteous manners
  • Must have established leadership skills
  • Team player
  • Must have a strong commitment to employee Safety
  • Sober mind, self-starter and honest.

2. Sales Representatives (x2)

Position Description

  • This position reports to the National Sales Manager. Successful candidates will be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
  • Analyse market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Grade 12 certificate
  • Diploma in Marketing/Business Studies.
  • Require excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)

3. Operators (x6)

Position Description

  • This position reports to the Head miller. Successful candidates will be responsible for safely operating Milling machines, monitor and control the process to produce a consistent product of the right quality at optimum cost.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing for machine start up in the Milling Plant
  • Running and shutting down the machine
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and completing documentation according to the Milling Plant SOPs.
  • Ensuring the machine is in working order
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
  • Applying the Manufacturing Way Principles and Practices
  • To safely operate Milling machines, monitor and control the process to produce a consistent product of  the right quality at optimum cost.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate with Five credits
  • Minimum Craft Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a Production plant
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Team player
  • Ability to adhere to instructions, work in shifts with minimum supervision and hard worker
  • Sober mind, self-starter and honest.

4. Stackers and Packers (x51)

Position Description

  • This position reports to the Head miller. Successful candidates will be responsible for loading, unloading and stacking the product the Process Area.

Responsibilities

  • Load, offload and move the product within or near the Plant.
  • Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials.
  • Load and unload onto the pallets, trays and racks
  • Load products onto the trucks.
  • Comply to Safety and health procedures at the work station.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Physically fit
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Team player
  • Ability to adhere to instructions, work in shifts with minimum supervision and hard worker
  • Sober mind, self-starter and honest.

5. Cleaner (x4)

Position Description

  • This position reports to the Head miller. Successful candidates will be responsible for Responsible for sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, dusting countertops, ceilings and sanitizing Production area.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with other cleaners to keep the workplace clean.
  • Cleaning spills, broken objects and other messes up as quickly as possible.
  • Performing maintenance activities Related to cleaning (e.g Maintaining Cleaning Machinery)
  • Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Responsible for sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, dusting countertops, ceilings and sanitizing
  • Production area. Perform 5s in Production Area.

6. Warehouse Supervisor (x1)

Position Description

  • This position reports to the Factory Manager -Milling Plant. Successful candidate will be responsible for Warehouse processes and procedures implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate stock and Operations related reports are prepared and submitted at agreed frequency (weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc) within deadlines.
  • Stock is dispatched in line with FIFO.
  • Truck loading and off-loading monitored .
  • Warehouse documentation maintained and secured.
  • All stock received is stripped counter checking best before dates.
  • Bins managed with bin cards in place all the time.
  • Expired and non-conforming stocks accounted for and managed.
  • Control measures effected to minimize ‘BUM’ occurrences.
  • Warehouse internal controls understood and enforced.
  • Information systems fully utilised

  • Diploma in Business Studies or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate well

  • Ability to adhere to instructions, work in shifts with minimum supervision and hard worker

7. Assistant Warehouse Supervisor (x1)

Position Description

  • This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor -Milling Plant. Successful candidate will be responsible for Warehouse processes and procedures implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate stock and Operations related reports are prepared and submitted at agreed frequency (weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc) within deadlines.
  • Stock is dispatched in line with FIFO.
  • Truck loading and off-loading monitored
  • Warehouse documentation maintained and secured.
  • All stock received is stripped counter checking best before dates.
  • Bins managed with bin cards in place all the time.
  • Expired and non-conforming stocks accounted for and managed.
  • Breakages, ullages and missing are well managed.
  • Forklift usage of fuel monitored, recorded and controlled per shift.
  • Forklift idle time and usage monitored and reported on.
  • Control measures effected to minimize ‘BUM’ occurrences.
  • Warehouse internal controls understood and enforced.
  • Information systems fully utilised

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Diploma in Business Studies or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Team player
  • Ability to adhere to instructions, work in shifts with minimum supervision and hard worker
  • Sober mind, self-starter and honest.
