Mining Manager

We’re looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Manager at a prestigious mine located in the Northeast region of Zambia.

Position Details:

• Rotation schedule: 8 weeks on, followed by 14 days off
• Salary: Zambian Kwacha 129,000 per month ($4800)
• Return ticket provided to Johannesburg for off days, with a return to Zambia
• R1,000,000 life insurance coverage
• Medical evacuation provided if necessary
• Accommodation provided; food to be self-purchased and prepared (facilities available)

Candidate Requirements:

• Age limit: under 45 years old
• Medical fitness with no ongoing medical issues
• Physical fitness (not overweight or physically unfit) due to the demanding nature of the work
• Military, police, or strong security background preferred
• Ability to work with diverse cultures
• Clean criminal record
• Good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of computers/MS Office for report writing

Job Description:

The person will act as a team leader for a group of guards and other staff.

• Must possess strong tactical abilities.
• Previous experience in guard management is required.
• Will conduct patrols on foot and by vehicle.
• Work primarily outdoors, around tailing dams, mine dumps, and in the forest.
• Patrols aim to catch people stealing copper, gold, vehicle parts, and tires, as well as apprehend wildlife poachers.
