Cfb Medical Centre is a private hospital in Lusaka looking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the position of:

1. MEDICAL PRACTITIONER

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Practitioner to join our dynamic clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centred medical care, ensuring accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and timely referrals where necessary.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, strong ethical standards, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend to patients by conducting thorough history taking, clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment in accordance with established medical standards.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies within the hospital.
  • Prescribe medications responsibly and ensure the rational use of pharmaceuticals.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and utilize available paramedical services (Laboratory, Radiology, Physiotherapy, etc.) appropriately.
  • Refer patients to specialists or consultants when necessary and coordinate patient management plans.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential medical records.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, interns, and nursing personnel.
  • Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Promote preventive healthcare and patient education on disease management and lifestyle modification.
  • Observe strict medical ethics, professionalism, and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Keep abreast of medical advancements, emerging treatments, and clinical best practices.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Fully qualified Medical Doctor with a valid practicing license.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in a private hospital setting.
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Computer literate and able to work effectively in an electronic medical records environment.
