Medical Officer – General Duties (2 Positions)

Konkola Mineral Resources Limited (KMRL), a subsidiary of Konkola Copper Mines (KCM), is one of the largest copper producers in Zambia. It operates underground and open pit mines located at Nchanga and Konkola. KRML’s growth trajectory presents exciting opportunities to leverage minerals and human resources to enhance stakeholder value and become Zambia’s pride. To support this vision KRML would like to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the following positions in the Medical Department:

Medical Officer – General Duties: One (1) Year Contract x 2 Positions

The successful candidates will be required among other duties to:

• Provide efficient diagnosis, care and treatment of patients
• Fulfil all on-call obligations and be available in cases of emergency
• Timely consultation/referral of patients for specialist attention
• Participate in the training of interns, nurses, and other paramedics

Requirements:

• Grade 12 school certificate
• Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBCh8) or its equivalent
• Registration with the Health Professions Council (HPCZ)
• Valid practicing licence
• Training in ART/HIV Management, ATLS, BLS, Trauma Course, ACLS-added advantage
• Competencies in Surgery, Anaesthesia and Obstetrics/Gynaecoloy-added advantage
• Should have successfully completed 2 years as a Junior Resident Medical officer
