The Zambia National Building Society (NBS) seeks to recruit qualified, skilled, motivated, and energetic individual to fill the position of Manager Credit Operations under the Credit Unit.

Manager Credit Operations – Lusaka (ZNBS 4)

Job Purpose:

To manage the Society’s credit operations and business system by designing, implementing, operating and continuously improving Systems and processes that underpin consumer lending both for secured and secured loons tough loon assessment, credit underwriting, disbursement, invoicing, Loan administration and collections

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To design and continuously improve existing and new business processes
  • To run the day to day underwriting through tracking of performance metrics, taking corrective actions, analyzing bottlenecks and implementing solutions that enhance process performance to the next fel.
  • To review, verify documents and develop a borrower’s profile and arrive at a credit recommendation
  • To conduct detailed research on the financial history of customers to determine their credit worthiness
  • To sore that application meet the minimum credit requirements as per policy
  • To ensure that all credit approvals are within the approved credit policy and appetite of the Society
  • To report all policy breaches in timely manner for remediation
  • To ensure that relevant training and coaching is undertaken to minimize erroneous submission of applications by branches
  • To provide a quote leadership to team members to ensure efficiency
  • To perform any other duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full grade twelve certificate with five O’ level
  • Minimum Degree in Banking and Financial Business Administration, Economics of Accounting
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline will be an advantage
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Credit Risk of Audit function
