The Graduate Trainee Program is designed to give the successful graduates hands-on training in the Logistics and warehouse unit. The candidates will be exposed to learning opportunities with an aim of building their competencies, skills and knowledge in the Logistics and warehouse department with the ultimate view of preparing them for future roles in the business based on performance. The graduate trainees will be required to undergo intensive Development programs for 18 months.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Distribution

  • Support the daily deliveries and ensure that the deliveries are executed within the team in an accurate and prompt manner and ensure compliance.
  • Support the daily load plan; ensure the accurate delivery of products for the purpose of on-time outbound movement, accurate counting, receiving and unloading of products.
  • Support productive utilization of assets such as Trucks, Fork lifts and pallet Jacks
  • Support the management of effective execution of system transactions and perform end of shift reconciliations.
  • Ensure the validity and compliance of all driver related statutory requirements for all drivers
  • Monitors all receipts i.e. transfers and production and ensure stock accuracy is aligned to settlement processes.
  • Support excellent housekeeping standards
  • Ensure product quality by adhering to the company’s guidelines in terms of driver shortages and non-deliveries.
  • Ensure Stock accountability
  • Capturing movement of stock in the system
  • Manage the intake of items to be stored in the warehouse.
  • Adhere to safety codes for both workers and equipment.
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
Warehouse
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining security of the warehouse, loading dock, and surrounding area to prevent theft.
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
  • Monitors all receipts i.e. transfers and production and ensure stock accuracy is aligned to settlement processes
  • Place stored items in safe, appropriate locations, taking into account temperature, light exposure, size, weight, and available space.
  • Coordinate and plan with relevant stakeholders when items will arrive and leave, while managing inventory and space
  • Ensure Stock accountability
  • Capturing movement of stock in the system.
  • Liaise with customers regarding stock queries.
  • Manages Best Before Dates (BBD) for all stock in the warehouse
  • Manage the intake of items to be stored in the warehouse.
  • Create a schedule to manage warehouse workers and their time.
  • Adhere to safety codes for both workers and equipment.
Fleet & Cold Drinks Equipment
  • Perform routine checklist and report all abnormalities to the cooler maintenance unit
  • Plan for regular maintenance and repairs of coolers, Cold rooms and Air cons.
  • Assist cooler mechanics with breakdown repairs and troubleshooting of faults
  • Ensure that all breakdowns are investigated and that the 5 WHY process is followed
  • Ensure all equipment is operated at optimum
  • Support the management and coordination of the logistics unit and ensure that the unit is responsive to the needs of the entire business.
  • Assist in the management of a well maintained transport fleet
  • Make recommendations and initiate viable cost effective maintenance initiatives.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in top running order at all times.
  • Trip preparation: including stock, vehicle sign in and out forms and appropriate check lists.
  • Ensure vehicle incident reports are completed on a timely basis and reported to the relevant senior staff.
Skills, Experience & Education
  • Must have a Degree in either one of the following disciplines with a Merit or better in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transport Management and Business Administration or its equivalent
  • Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Logistics, or its equivalent
  • Must be a recent graduate from the University within the past 3 years (2019 – 2021) GCE O Level certificate holder with a merit in both Sciences and Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and team skills
  • Highly adaptable
  • Must not be more than 30 years old
  • Be enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Strong level of analytical skills and computer literacy.
  • Experience in FMCG is an added advantage
