The Company Seeks the Services of Light Van/Lorry Driver x1

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

• Drive a heavy lorry/ vacuum tanker for transporting equipment materials equipment and waste to and from the right destination.
• Observes the Highway Code and health regulations to avoid endangering passengers and other road uses.
• Carry out routine pre-shift vehicle checks and adheres to servicing schedule to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
• Maintain vehicle to required standard of cleanliness for hygienic purposes.
• Drive the health, safety and environment standards/policy awareness and practice in the Department to ensure compliance.
• Facilitate SLAM, GComm, training.
• Adhering to all other assignments that are given that are lawful and fair
• Reporting irregularities noticed to Supervisor for appropriate action.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Valid Class C & TE Driving License
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• 2 Years work experience
• Good Problem-solving skills

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
