Lecturer – ICT

Northrise University

We are seeking a dynamic individual to teach fundamental undergraduate and graduate Information Systems courses and assist with the administration of the undergraduate and graduate ICT programs at Northrise University.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies for course delivery, including instructional objectives, assignments, textbooks, grading structure, and methods.
  • Provide students with Northrise University syllabi and modules that align with university templates, including course objectives.
  • Regularly revise and update course materials to ensure relevance.
  • Promote higher-level learning by offering opportunities for students to develop information literacy, problem-solving skills, and connect theory to practice.
  • Adhere to university policies regarding academic integrity, including addressing plagiarism and cheating.
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Organize course content in a logical sequence, adjusting delivery pace to meet student needs.
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance learning (e.g., PowerPoint, online syllabi, and interactive course components).
  • Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment by encouraging discussions and showing enthusiasm for the subject matter.
  • Be accessible for academic consultation before/after class and via email or phone.
  • Create an interactive, student-centered classroom environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • At least two years of college-level teaching experience and industry experience.

Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
