Job Purpose: 

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the IT Assistant will oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimal performance of our computer systems, phone systems, CCTV, and data security systems.

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide efficient technical support to end-users, promptly resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Manage IT equipment lifecycle tasks including deployment, upgrades, repairs, recommissioning, replacement, and recycling, encompassing laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance on shared IT services such as AV equipment, printers, and shared workstations.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the security and efficiency of the network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to both local and cloud-based applications.
  • Assist in maintaining IT inventory and documentation.
  • Conduct user training sessions to enhance digital literacy among staff.
  • Monitor and respond to IT helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Compile monthly reports related to IT operations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Conduct CCTV monitoring and troubleshooting as required.
Qualifications & Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT Assistant role or similar capacity.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledgeable about network protocols, security, and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Windows and MacOS operating systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Experience in software development is a plus.
