Import & Export Manager

Our client, an FMCG company, is looking for an Import & Export Manager to join their team. The Import & Export Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import and export processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and optimizing logistical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement import and export strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
• Manage the import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and logistics
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations
• Work with suppliers, customers, and shipping carriers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods
• Negotiate with customs authorities to resolve any issues or disputes
• Monitor and manage import and export budgets and expenses
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, procurement, and finance, to coordinate import and export activities
• Stay updated on changes in import and export regulations and communicate them to relevant stakeholders
• Implement and maintain import and export documentation and record-keeping systems

Requirements

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, international business, or a related field
• Should have at least 5 years of experience in import and export operations
• Must have a strong understanding of international trade laws and regulations
• Should have excellent knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
• Must have experience in negotiating with customs authorities and resolving customs-related issues
• Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Should be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Must have proficiency in using import and export software and tools
• Should have a proactive and customer-oriented mindset
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy
