Position:       Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP001)

Location:        Lusaka, Zambia

Reports to:   Human Resources Manager

Job purpose

The Human Resources Business Partner shall report directly to the Human Resources Manager and will serve as a strategic and operational partner to assigned business units, supporting leadership in aligning people strategies with 260 Brands objectives. The role focuses on driving workforce effectiveness, performance, compliance, and capability development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key responsibilities
 

Strategic & Operational HR Partnership

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Support functions.
  • Translate business objectives into effective HR initiatives and people solutions.
  • Support change management, organisational design, and workforce optimisation initiatives.

Performance Management

  • Lead the implementation and cascading of performance frameworks (e.g. RISE).
  • Support managers in setting KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and managing underperformance.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Workforce Planning & Succession Planning

  • Partner with management to develop workforce plans aligned to production and growth needs.
  • Identify critical roles and support the development of succession and talent pipelines.
  • Monitor headcount, skills gaps, and labour utilisation trends.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary processes, grievances, and hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Code Act, company policies, and labour regulations.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders where required (e.g. Ministry of Labour).

Talent Management & Development

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction for assigned business units.
  • Identify training needs and support delivery of targeted learning interventions.
  • Promote leadership development, coaching, and mentoring initiatives.

Policy Implementation & HR Governance

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support policy reviews and implementation as the business scales.
  • Promote fair, ethical, and values-driven people practices aligned to DRIVE values.

HR Reporting & Analytics

  • Provide HR insights and reports on performance, absenteeism, turnover, and discipline trends
  • Use data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in progressively responsible human resource roles preferably in a manufacturing environment,
  • Broad knowledge and skills in Human Resources principles and practices including knowledge of Employment Code Act, staffing and recruitment practices, compensation & benefits, employee relations, policy development and implementation and supporting diversity.
  • Strong PC application skills including MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Member of ZIHRM.
  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the processes involved in obtaining employment permits and National Registration Cards (NRC) for none Zambian Nationals, and demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with various governmental and regulatory institutions.
