About the Role
We are seeking an experienced financial leader to safeguard and optimise our financial health, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability. Join our team and provide strategic financial leadership that drives informed decision-making and creates long-term value for our stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute a clear financial roadmap aligned with Spectra’s growth objectives, including capital allocation, cost optimisation, and funding strategies for major projects.
- Profitability & Cash Flow Management: Drive EBIT margin improvement through rigorous cost control, strategic pricing, and effective working capital management to ensure strong cash conversion.
- Capital & Funding Strategy: Secure financing for expansion projects, leveraging well-structured financial models and robust lender relationships.
- Financial Governance & Compliance: Ensure a robust control environment, accurate, timely reporting, and full compliance with Zambian and international financial regulations.
- Digital Finance Transformation: Lead the deployment and management of a new ERP system, driving process efficiencies and enabling real-time financial insights.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate key financial, operational, and market risks (e.g., foreign exchange, commodity prices) through actionable hedging and mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performance finance team capable of scaling with the business and delivering insightful analytics and decision support.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Deliver transparent, high-quality, and timely financial communications to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Essential experience includes:
- 10+ years in Senior Financial Leadership as a CFO, Finance Director, or Senior Finance Manager within a medium/large enterprise (US$60m+ revenue).
- Oil & Gas, Lubricants, or Mining Supply Chain Experience, with a strong understanding of commodity pricing and B2B industrial sales dynamics.
- Proven Growth & Transformation Leadership, including experience scaling a business, implementing ERP systems, and managing significant capital investments.
- Emerging Markets Exposure, preferably in Zambia or similar African markets, with knowledge of foreign exchange risks and cross-border trade regulations.
- Expertise in strategic financial planning, advanced financial modelling, and risk management.
