1. About the Position & Key Responsibilities

Location: Lusaka, Zambia Industry: Manufacturing / Packaging / Plastics Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Deadline for Applications: 4th November 2025

ABOUT THE POSITION:

A leading manufacturing company in the packaging and plastics sector is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations, ensure compliance with statutory obligations, and provide strategic guidance to support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will be a registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and possess strong financial management, analytical, and leadership skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement sound financial management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting obligations (ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA, etc.).
• Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Monitor and manage working capital, including accounts receivable, payable, and inventory valuation.
• Lead and support internal and external audit processes and ensure timely submission of audit reports.
• Provide strategic advice to management on financial planning, investment, and risk management.
• Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure effective cost tracking and control.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and financial institutions.

2. Qualifications, Competencies, and How to Apply

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional qualifications.
• Full membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) – mandatory.
• Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within a manufacturing, packaging, or plastics industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and financial regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, or QuickBooks.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
