Job Title: Finance and Administration Officer
Reports to: Finance & Administration Manager
Job Purpose: To ensure effective and timely development, implementation and maintenance of all financial, accounting, administrative and human resources systems, procedures and records for the Company.
Accountabilities
- Implementation and ensuring compliance to financial and accounting systems, policies and procedures;
- Maintenance of comprehensive financial and accounting records including; preparation of budgets and financial statements, preparation and administration of the payroll, contracts administration, invoicing, debt collection, medical claims payment etc;
- Ensuring compliance of the Company to all statutory requirements including preparation and submission of all returns under the Companies Act, ZRA, NAPSA, Workman’s Compensation, Municipality/city Council etc;
- Development and implementation of administrative systems including; office systems & procedures, documents & records management, communications & correspondence, meetings & events, facility & equipment maintenance, health & safety, security etc;
- Implementation of human resources management systems and procedures including; compliance to labour laws, industrial relations, training, evaluation, leave administration etc;
- Development and implementation of procurement, logistics, travel and transport systems;
- Development and training of subordinate employees;
- Undertaking other work activities as may be assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration or equivalent professional qualifications such as ZICA, ACCA or CIMA
- Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience
- Postgraduate Training in Human Resources Management, Company Secretary, Procurement and/or Risk Management
- Member of relevant professional associations and registration
- Valid Driving Licence
Knowledge And Experience
- Computer literate with working knowledge of relevant accounting packages
- Knowledge of the Companies Act and relevant administrative procedures
- Excellent knowledge of relevant statutory requirements such as ZRA Tax regulations, NAPSA, Workman’s Compensation etc
