MTN Zambia
This function is responsible for managing the MTN Zambia Xtratime, lending, Savings & Loans product portfolio, the role is responsible for developing and executing the Xtratime product strategy, ensuring timely planning and execution through the product lifecycle and gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements to ensure the successful deployment of the product in line with the agreed MTN Zambia and MTN Group roadmap.
Under the supervision of the Banktech Manager, with dotted line supervision of the Pricing Manager, below are the Key Job Responsibilities:
- Works in Collaboration with members of the products, operations, and sales teams in developing a compelling catalogue of lending and savings products;
- Ensures that all services within the savings and lending verticals are adequately tested and conform with user requirements;
- Monitors and reports product performance at a granular level and puts in place interventions and promotions to stimulate product update and general revenue performance;
- In collaboration with Marketing, develop go-to-market strategies and Product Promotional and CVM Campaigns to drive performance;
- Identify and assess new growth opportunities in the Xtratime space;
- Together with key stakeholders from Opco, Fintech, Group office and strategic partners, analyse the technological, business, and competitive landscape to support the development of an effective Xtratime strategy Operational Delivery;
- Lead and manage the Xtratime Products portfolio as the Product Manager;
- As the Product Manager balance business, technology, and design priorities to deliver brand-defining product and service experiences;
- Supports partners during technical onboarding processes;
- Supports Technical Teams in understanding business requirements;
- Formulates Product Roadmap for assigned services;
- Monitors customer journeys and identifies opportunities for process streamlining and improvement;
- Monitors product performance and recommend growth interventions;
- Manages relationships with Product partners;
- Manages deployment pipeline and project prioritisation;
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines for product and service launches;
- Supports in billing and revenue assurance for all products within portfolio;
- Any other responsibilities or tasks as maybe assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credits or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field;
- 2 years or more relevant work experience in Telecommunications, Fintech or Financial Services, including at least 1 years experience with product & service development, go to market and customer value management;
- Strong Business data analytics skills & ability to work with SQL is advantageous;
- Experience with Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology is an added advantage;
- Formal certification in Product Management / Product Owner, Agile Delivery, User Experience, or other relevant fields would be beneficial;
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-driven.
