RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting field surveys and collecting data about rock formations, mineral content, geological anomalies, and environmental factors
• Interpreting geological, geochemical, and geophysical data
• Identifying and mapping prospective sites for exploration
• Developing geological models to predict the location of mineral deposits
• Carrying out exploratory drilling and sampling to confirm the presence and quantity of minerals
• Working closely with mining engineers and other professionals to determine the feasibility of mining at a particular site
• Providing recommendations on the viability of mining based on collected data and analysis
• Preparing detailed reports and maps to document findings
• Keeping up to date with advancements in geological science and technology
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during field investigations
• Plan and conduct geological, geochemical, and geophysical field studies and surveys; map and sample areas of geologic formations to identify resources
• Estimate depth, quality and vastness of deposits
• Conduct geological and geophysical studies to provide information for use in regional development, site selection, and development of public works projects
• Use a variety of tools to interpret data and create visual representations of the subsurface

QUALIFICATIONS

• 06-07 years proven experience as an exploration geologist relevant in Gold /Copper
• Excellent knowledge of and skills in fieldwork, sampling, data analysis and reporting
• Outstanding spatial abilities and excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex geological data to non-technical personnel
• BSc/MSc in Geology or relevant field
