The New Apostolic Church Relief Organization (NACRO) is a faith-based development and humanitarian NGO serving as social and development arm of the New Apostolic Church Established in 2002, NACRO works in the sectors of education and health, and livelihood (incorporating agri-food systems, energy, and water, sanitation and hygiene), to provide high quality demand driven social and economic services and capacity building that impact positively on the lives of the vulnerable communities in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and result in stronger resilience and improved livelihoods.
NACRO in Zambia is inviting applications for the position of Education and Resource Mobilization Coordinator to be based in Lusaka, Zambia:

Education and Resource Mobilization Coordinator
(a) Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Country Programme Coordinator, the Education and Resource Mobilization Coordinator is responsible for operational management of the education thematic area, partnership management, resource mobilization, and funding opportunity management, among other duties.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Support technical designing of new education concepts and proposals.
- Support development of budgets for education related projects.
- Provide technical feedback on the project reports and physical progress and share best practices.
- Provide technical inputs and recommendations in the procurement of services and materials.
- Build relationships with Government, NGOs. and other actors involved in education.
- Share information on education interventions with, NACRO’s Communications and Public Relations
- Network with other NACRO programs on best practices, technical approaches, and resource acquisition.
- Support the selection of appropriate indicators and tools for effective monitoring and evaluation of the education project.
- Share experiences and lessons learned within NACRO and with partner organizations and other stakeholders and incorporate them into new concepts and proposals.
- Coordinate the baseline, midline, and endline surveys for all projects in the thematic area. Supervise project officers under the education thematic area.
- Coordinate projects entry and exit approaches in the districts and other projects areas.
- Represent NACRO at education sector coordination and donor meetings.
- In collaboration with the Country Program Coordinator, partner with communities in the planning, implementation and quality assurance of education projects.
- Maintain donor intelligence on the funding landscape in country and globally.
- Work closely with senior staff to cultivate strong relationships with donor delegations and representatives of strategic/consortium partners in Zambia.
- Work closely with fundraising teams from other NACRO country offices including Malawi and Zimbabwe to identify potential sources of funding for projects in Zambia.
- Coordinate visits for high-value donors and strategic partners and facilitate donor roundtable and other mechanisms to mobilise funds for the country programme.
- Work with relevant colleagues to raise the country profile and produce content, communications, and capability statements to support partnership development.
- Develop a catalogue of potential donors and their intervention areas and determining what is required for NACRO to position itself towards those donors
- Lead on ethical check reviews of all new partnership and funding relationships.
- Manage and update data bases to record donor contacts and preference information
- Build good relationships and collaborate with the internal team, beneficiaries, prospective and existing donors, and various members of the community
- In collaboration with NACRO Senior Management, provide strategic direction on the development and implementation of resource mobilization strategies to optimize the impact of country program
- Work closely with colleagues in other NACRO country offices to track global opportunities with potential relevance to NACRO’s work in Zambia.
- Develop quality funding proposals and submitting them to potential donors in line with donor standards â– Conducting research on fundraising opportunities and targeting donor organizations whose criteria match with NACRO aims and activities
- Ensure that key programmatic and operational standards are integrated in all projects developed.
- Coordinate funding application and proposal development processes drawing on internal technical capacity within the country, region and across the federation as appropriate, including partners.
- Facilitate robust reviews of funding applications as required involving relevant colleagues from the country team as well as headquarters teams.
- Coordinate approval and submission of funding applications.
(b) Qualifications
i 5″0″ levels Grade 12 certificate
ii. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Education or related field
iii. Certificate of proficiency in Project Management
iv. A Master’s degree in related fields will be an added advantage.
v. Minimum of five years of experience with donor-funded projects focused on education.
vi. Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and local government, donors, community-based organizations, and the private sector.
vii. Experience in project management and in monitoring evaluation and reporting.
(C) Required Skills
i. Experience in project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation, and donor compliance
ii. Experience in soliciting funds from diverse multilateral and bilateral institutions/donors
iii. Experience in working in consortia to secure funding, will be added advantage.
iv. Excellent written and oral communication and documentation skills, including report writing.
v. Experience in coordinating both solicited and unsolicited funding applications
vi. Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills
vii. Ability to multi-task and to plan, prioritize and coordinate the work of self and other colleagues.
viii. Training and development skills
