NF 8 – Driver (1)
The Driver is responsible for driving and maintaining company’s vehicles to facilitate mobility of staff, materials and equipment. He/she shall also be responsible for conducting regular checks on all INFRATEL fleets to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
Drive
- Documents vehicle service records to track costs and maintenance of vehicles.
Logbook
- Updates timely and accurately motor vehicle logbook to enhance accountability for official trips and fuel usage
Vehicle Inspection
- Checks regularly pool vehicles in order to ascertain their road worthiness.
Vehicle cleanliness
- Undertakes regular cleaning of pool vehicles in order to maintain corporate image of INFRATEL
Accidents Reports
- Prepares timely accidents reports in order to facilitate decision making.
Confidentiality
- Maintains high level confidentiality and professionalism with all passengers and should have high levels ethics and Integrity.
Vehicle Maintenance
- Initiates timely maintenance of pool vehicles and ensures that they are roadworthy.
Minimum Qualifications

Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Craft Certificate in any relevant field
- Valid SADC driver’slicense class C.

- Understanding of the highway code
- Good judgement on the road.
- Ability to collaborate and with teams
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong background in various aspects of driving.

- Highly proven ethical conduct and free from criminal record
- Courteous and Ability to work in high pressure environment
Years of Experience Required
- Minimum of three (3) years driving experience
- Minimum of one (1) year corporate experience
