### **ROLE OVERVIEW**
Divine Connections Recruitment Services is urgently seeking an experienced, hands-on, and results-driven **Operations Manager** to oversee the day-to-day operations of our client’s fuel business in Lusaka. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in fuel operations, bowser management, and loss control, with a proven ability to coordinate seamlessly across drivers, customers, and internal technical teams.
### **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* **Fuel Operations Management:** Oversee end-to-end fuel operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and accurate tanker loading and offloading at depots and customer sites.
* **Bowser & Equipment Supervision:** Manage mobile fuel dispensing units (bowsers), including scheduling and maintenance, while coordinating the installation and servicing of meters, pumps, and pipelines.
* **Logistics & Delivery Coordination:** Communicate directly with drivers to track routes and collaborate with customers to confirm delivery schedules and maintain strong service relationships.
* **Loss Control & Compliance:** Implement rigorous controls to minimize product losses (e.g., temperature variance, spillage, pilferage) and ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (SHE) standards.
* **Reporting & Leadership:** Supervise operational staff, manage third-party vendors, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports covering deliveries, losses, and equipment status.
### **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
* **Experience:** Minimum of 4 to 6 years of solid experience in fuel or petroleum operations, featuring hands-on expertise in tanker loading/offloading and bowser management.
* **Technical Knowledge:** Practical understanding of meters, pumps, and pipeline systems used in fuel dispensing and storage.
* **Education:** Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
* **Technical Literacy:** Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems (such as Odoo or Tally) for tracking operations.
* **Competencies:** Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to be available for urgent operational matters outside standard hours.
