Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing our social media pages, orchestrating exciting digital competitions, conducting cutting-edge research, and boosting our email marketing efforts. Your mission? Not just to elevate our digital presence but to innovate and explore fresh avenues for expanding our business footprint.

Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To)

  • Create engaging, original, and effective content for social media platforms.
  • Ensure posts are made consistently across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Twitter
  • All posts are accurate and error-free.
  • Identify innovative ideas to reinforce marketing campaigns across social media channels.
  • Carry out social media community management when required
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing a digital strategy in country.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Mukuru’s digital footprint.
  • Propose ideas/ improvements within the scope of work.
  • Implementing and aligning processes across Design and Marketing Campaign Managers
  • Coordinate cross-functional team efforts from other business units
  • Schedule and keep track of ‘always on’ campaigns.
  • Liaise with Campaign Managers on themes, copy and results.
  • Execute digital competitions (planning, design, sign off and execution)
  • Assist with the execution of email marketing campaigns to customers, partners and staff
  • Conduct digital research on trends and competitors and share internally on a regular basis as prescribed by Management.
  • Track social media spend.
  • Assist in determining and implementing processes and improvements to streamline Digital Marketing efforts.
  • Assist in managing the website’s content and conducting website reviews.
  • Create accurate reports and share internally on a regular basis as prescribed by Management.
  • Assist the broader marketing team on ad-hoc requests from time to time
  • Research potential venues.
  • Research potential suppliers and contractors.
  • Negotiate prices and obtain sign off for hire agreements.
  • Coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
  • Coordinate all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and delegate packs
  • Co-ordinate suppliers on the day of the event
  • Drop-off and collection of promotional items as required. Effectively handle client queries
  • Troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget.
  • Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently.
  • Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events
  • Attend monthly KPI discussion with Digital Marketing Manager
  • Attend bi-annual monthly performance meeting with Digital Marketing Manager
  • Maintain knowledge of current digital marketing methodology and practices
  • Keep abreast of remittance developments within the money transfer service industry.
  • Keep abreast of new product/partner launches

Key Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in Marketing
  • 2 Years experience in Fintech/ Financial Services
  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok)
  • Knowledge of marketing & communication processes
  • Knowledge of content creation (video and static)
  • Knowledge of websites
