Chilanga Cement, Chilanga Plant, is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individual to take up the role of:

1. CORPORATE EXPEDITOR (x1)

Overall Mission of the Role:

The role of the Corporate Expeditor – Zambia has two fundamental features,

  • To Expedite all of the CEO’s program schedule for external visitors and meeting appointments
  • To facilitate the Huaxin Group visitors programs within Zambia
Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the planning and organizing of China-Africa cultural exchange activities to promote cultural integration
  • Responsible for the organization and development of Chinese language training for local employees
  • Understand the specific needs and adapting objectives of culture diversity and formulate corresponding training plans within the organization
  • Develop training topics and prepare training materials
  • Responsible for the statistics and analysis of training data, and adjust the training content according to the results
  • Clarify terminologies and information used for translations between English and Chinese, including technical terms and legal terms
  • Proofread, edit and revise as needed any written materials such as, legal documents, news reports and organization journals for CEO’s review
  • Listen to the speakers statements and translate them accordingly to ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
Qualifications, Experience and skills required:

Education background, Experience & Skills

    • Degree in relevant field, such as Public Relations, Human Resource or Business Administration or it’s equivalence
    • Minimum Certificate of proficiency in Chinese language
    • 3 to 5 years work experience in a related/ similar position and must have worked in a Multi-Cultural Organisation
    • Must be able to plan and organize: China-Africa cultural exchange activities to promote cultural exchange and integration
    • The candidate should have keen interest for the organization and development of Chinese language training for local employees
    • Must be able to understand the specific needs and adapting objectives of culture diversity and formulate corresponding training plans within the organization
    • Develop training topics and prepare training materials
    • Responsible for the statistics and analysis of training data, and adjust the training content according to the results
    • Should be able to clarify terminologies and information used for translations between English and Chinese, including technical terms and legal terms
    • Proofread, edit and revise as needed any written materials such as, legal documents, news reports and organization journals for CEO’s review

Behavioral Skills

    • Ability to effectively liaise with and develop inter-departmental relationships within the entire Business Unit.
