Job Title: Compliance Officer (x5)

Job Purpose

The role will be responsible for the enforcement of compliance with the National Health Insurance Act No. 2 of 2018. The role conducts compliance inspections, sensitisation and Prosecution as to ensure compliance with the Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Serve Compliance Notices.
  • Inspect employer and member records in order to identify employers that are not compliant with the National Health Insurance Act and NHIMA Policies in the administration of member contributions and registration.
  • Prepare inspection reports to ensure gaps in the management of employers and contributions are identified and appropriate solutions developed and implemented.
  • Identify unregistered employers and communicate to the relevant department to register the employers in line with the National Health Insurance Act, and NHIMA policies and procedures.
  • Conduct or facilitate prosecution of defaulting employers.
  • Attending to preparing and filing of relevant Court documents.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Grade twelve (12) School certificate with at least 5 credits which should include English Language and Mathematics;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law;
Competencies required for this Role
  • Grade twelve (12) School certificate with at least 5 credits which should include English Language and Mathematics;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law;
  • Not less than 1 year work experience in a similar role; and
  • Admission to the Zambian Bar is an added advantage.
  • Must be an effective communicator;
  • Must be proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars;
  • Must have excellent analytical skills;
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail;
  • Must have ability to work in collaboration with people at various levels and from different backgrounds;
  • Must be assertive and result oriented;
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and organisational skills; and
  • Must have excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
