Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Lead located in Lusaka. The Commercial Lead will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to opportunity identification, tendering, account management and customer service ultimately leading to increased revenue generation. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, managing sales processes, negotiating contracts, and providing excellent customer service.

  • Play an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients.
  • Comprehensive business knowledge to create realistic sales projections and developing strategies for increasing market share
  • Be Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct sales channels.
  • Focus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.
  • Prepare tenders and responses to Requests for Proposals/Quotations’ in line with customer requirements.
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions within the group.
  • Strong strategic and negotiation skills to make sound commercial decisions
  • Collaboration with other company departments, such as marketing or finance, to offer customer support
  • Handling client objections and concerns with customers and suppliers and escalate when necessary
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on invoiced, projected sales and closed deals.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in sales and account management in the I.C.T sector handling various technologies including server computing, storage, switching & routing, I.T security, etc.
  • Strong negotiation and purchasing skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop business strategies
  • Must be proficient in end user and enterprise technology trends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must posses a drivers license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
