WE ARE HIRING: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
Are you a strategic and commercially minded finance professional with strong leadership experience?
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership, strengthen financial controls, drive financial sustainability and support informed business decision-making.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA or equivalent
- Membership of a recognised professional accounting body
- 5–10 years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting
- 3–5 years’ experience in a senior financial management/leadership role
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and management accounts
- Experience in audits, taxation, regulatory reporting, risk management and internal controls
- Experience in banking, microfinance or a related financial services environment will be highly desirable
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication and decision-making skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic financial leadership
- Leading and developing the Finance function
- Developing and monitoring budgets and financial plans
- Managing cash flow, liquidity and financial resources
- Preparing accurate financial reports for management and the Board
- Strengthening financial controls and risk management
- Overseeing statutory, regulatory and tax compliance
- Coordinating internal and external audits
- Providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Driving cost efficiency and financial sustainability
- Developing financial policies, procedures and controls
