JOB OPPORTUNITIES

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (“the Commission”) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. The Commission was established under the Competition and Consumer Protection Act, No. 24 of 2010 of the Laws of Zambia.

Its mission statement is to safeguard and promote a competitive business environment and enhance consumer welfare by prohibiting anti-competitive and unfair trading practices in Zambia.

In order to align its operations to good governance practices, the Commission wishes to recruit for the following posts:

POSITION: CASHIER (1)
DIRECTORATE: FINANCE
REPORTS TO: FINANCE MANAGER
GRADE: CCPC G
LOCATION: LUSAKA

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Undertakes timely receipt and recording of revenue to enhance accountability.
2. Undertakes timely banking of revenue to safeguard public funds.
3. Undertakes effective issuance of payments to meet the Commission’s obligations.
4. Undertakes effective securing of accountable documents to prevent unauthorized access and destruction.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

1. Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate.
2. ZICA Technician or equivalent Technician member of ZICA.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills; computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
4. Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
5. Team player, committed, motivated and pays attention to detail.
6. Exhibit a high level of integrity and professional ethic.
7. Paid Up member of ZICA.
